The development of New Materials leads to new, more efficient production processes, and custom-designed products with useful, as yet unknown properties.
New materials can be used as inputs in the manufacturing process to both eliminate waste, and also achieve new standards of quality through the ability to meet individual specifications. In other uses, new materials can increase the effectiveness of products from solvents to batteries and fuel cells. ZFHN has invested in two new materials businesses.
